Why Lemon Juice Dissolves? –

by: Joe Barton

You might have heard of one of the latest remedies… lemon juice kidney stones! This remedy has been popularized by sufferers who are unable to pass their stone(s) with just water. And though just thinking of lemon juice might make you cringe, you may want to give it a second thought.

The idea behind this remedy is that lemons are extremely acidic. And because the liver plays no role in filtering acids, you can easily dissolve kidney stones using simple acidic remedies.

Let me explain the lemon juice kidney stones remedy.

Dissolving Kidney Stones

As you probably have heard, you most likely suffer from stones that are made out of calcium. Calcium tends to build up in the kidneys if the person is not drinking enough water. In most cases, a person can pass their stones with drinking water.

On the other hand, if your stones are bigger than 5 mm, it may be a little more difficult to pass them. Therefore, using a remedy like lemon juice may be a great option. Here is a simple alternative treatment that you can use tonight.

A Lemon Juice Remedy

This alternative treatment is extremely simple. All you need is 3 ounces of extra virgin olive oil and 3 ounces of lemon juice (freshly squeezed or bottled). You should mix the 3 ounces of olive oil and 3 ounces of lemon juice in a cup and stir. Drink right before bed and repeat until stones pass. It is important to also be drinking at least 10 cups of water to help the stones flush.

This remedy works because the olive oil acts as a lubricant in your body, making the stones pass easier through your urinary tract. The lemon juice is highly acidic, thus helping break down the stones, making passage much easier. The combination of both ingredients will work well to get rid of your kidney stones. It has been reported that this remedy has produced relief in as little as 2 hours.

Is There More?

This lemon juice remedy has worked for some and not for others. Because everyone has a different type of body, there are different remedies you may have to try to find success.

by: Chris Jericho

There are a number of ways in which you can address the malady of fat loss. Among the many ways, one extremely good option for losing fat and weight is strength training. Dieting and doing cardio exercises are some of the forms for weight loss. And when one opts for strength training or weightlifting fat loss what happens in the process is that the muscle mass in the body is increased and the body is able to burn even more calories when the body is at rest.

Weightlifting fat away:

Weight loss via weightlifting fat loss is very much possible by strength training which includes lifting of weights, which is called weightlifting. Lean body mass is preserved by intense strength training, while fat loss keeps taking place in the long run. It is found that by doing weightlifting, the person does not lose body weight, but only the fat in the body is lost. Squats and push ups are some exercises that help in maintaining a lean body and well as a toned streamlined body without losing extra pounds. Men develop muscular bodies due to weightlifting, while women do not develop bulkier bodies because women have lesser levels of testosterone as compared to men.

Even if women do develop lean muscle, still they do not look as muscular, and bulkier, than men, but will just look leaner. Fats take up more space in the body as compared to muscles. When a person opts for weightlifting fat loss, the fat in the body is replaced by the muscle that is less dense as compared to the fat in the body. It is better to go in for weightlifting as compared to dieting. Those on diet often to cut down on foods that may be necessary for the body and often tend to deprive themselves of the goods things they would like to eat at times. Once they are off the diet plan, they tend to regain the lost weight and could gain even more weight.

A long term solution:

Weightlifting always helps in the long term and if one sticks to the regime strictly, there is no reason why the person should keep gaining excess fat except of course if he or she goes on the weightlifting fat loss. There are a number of online as well as offline resources that now are in order to help you with the procedure. Do I Need To Stop Drinking For The Gout To Go Away? by Charlene …

by: Charlene J Nuble

What exactly is gout? According to medical experts, it’s a rheumatic disease and a form of arthritis. Seventy percent of gout sufferers experience joint pains on their big toe. Elderly men are also prone to this disease but that doesn’t mean that women are exempted. The gout attacks are extremely painful and acute; aside from the ankle and big toe joints, gout can also occur on the elbow, hands, wrist, and knees.

One of the primary causes of gout is drinking. ‘Do I need to stop drinking for the gout to go away?’ Perhaps this question is also lingering inside your mind.

To answer that question for you, you should know about some helpful gout facts. Alcoholics usually don’t exhibit any signs or symptoms of gout at the beginning. Some studies revealed that gout attacks happened many years of being an alcoholic; the development of gout is dependent on the amount of alcohol intake over the years.

Studies determined the relative risks (RR) of drinking alcohol as follows:

– Less than 1 drink per day gives an RR of 1.322.

– 1-2 drinks is equal to 1.49 RR3.

– 2-3.7 drinks yielded an RR of 1.964.

– More than 3.7 drinks per day gives you an RR of 2.53

Drinking beer can also cause gout. If you drink 12 ounces of beer every day, the RR is 1.49. The risk of developing gout was also significant among people who drink spirits like vodka, gin, whiskey, brandy, etc. The RR was 1.15 for multivariate drinks. Four ounces of wine consumption yielded an RR of 1.04. Studies also showed that wine contains oxypurines or purines. The purine is converted to uric acid when it enters the body and as you already know – high levels of purine causes gout.

Why is it that alcoholic drinks cause gout?

When you consume alcohol, it is broken down to lactate and this contributes to urate retention. Purine load can come from stouts, certain red wines, and port; if you drink too much alcohol (containing purine), you will surely become prone to gout. Researches also showed that drinking is associated with obesity. People with weight problems are also susceptible to gout.

If you stop drinking beer and other alcoholic drinks, you can avoid purine. However, aside from abstaining from alcohol, people who are at high risk of developing gout should also avoid foods which contain purine like seafoods and organ meats. Drinking and feasting can definitely cause gout attacks but the greater factor which leads to the disease is drinking.

For those who want to prevent gout attacks, you can start introducing gradual changes in your lifestyle. It would be impossible to stop drinking alcohol completely. You can abstain by drinking little by little.

Dietary changes also prove effective in gout prevention. Try to limit your consumption of mackerel, herrings, fish roe, anchovies, shrimps, sardines, sprats, heart, kidney, meat liver, and sweetbreads. Some veggies also contain purine and you should limit yourself in eating mushrooms, asparagus, peas, and beans.

If gout runs in you family, you must be extra careful.

So, for your question, ‘Do I Need to Stop Drinking for the Gout to Go Away?’ Drinking alcohol can have some benefits but if you want to manage or control gout attacks, it would be wise to stop drinking but drink plenty of water instead.
